International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is an international observance promoted by the United Nations since 1992. The observance of the Day aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.
Various events are held on the day to support people with disability, to show them our admiration and respect, to make them feel important and loved.
All of them are examples; They can teach how to be strong, to be determined, to be always optimistic. Their everyday life should be a reminder for everyone that there is no any reason in this life to give up.
p.s. The year 2012 marks the 20th anniversary of the IDPwD.
