The change into ”Summer time”, setting the clocks one hour forward, enables a better use of the daylight in the evenings.
Energy saving is an important and the main reason to consider DST as a positive thing.
Besides energy saving there are many positive sides of DST to be taken in consideration.
Even atfter being used to winter time, probably the most ”painful” habit to change could be – sleep, did you notice that slowly more and more persons go to parks, start jogging or just have a nice walk? Of course it happenes also because of the sun and warm days, but if there would be warm days but dark early evenings?..
Doesn’t it seem as if you start to have more time for yourself and for your joy? 🙂
Though many countries observe DTS and many do not.
It was 1784 when benjamin Franklin first suggested daylight Saving time, but modern DST was not proposed untill 1895 when an antomologist fomr New Zeland, George Vernon Hudson, presented a proposal for a tow-hour daylight saving shift to the Wellington Philosophical Society.
Enjoy the Summer time
